CASHCAT is a community memecoin on Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum Layer-2. The battlefield above renders its live swap activity as it happens.

In 2013, two Stanford maths graduates were building an app to make stock trading free. The name on the whiteboard was Cash Cat. A cat. Holding cash. Democratising finance.
They dropped it before the product shipped. A cartoon cat felt too gimmicky for a company about to take real customers' money, and "Robinhood" carried the story they wanted — take from the rich, give to everyone, no commissions. The cat went in a drawer.
They called it Cash Cat first.
It stayed there for thirteen years. Vlad Tenev confirmed it himself in an April 2021 post, stressing that he could not stress enough that the original name had been Cash Cat, attached to a meme of a buff cat labelled Robinhood towering over a crying cat labelled Cash Cat. The detail survives in a New Yorker profile of the company. A discarded name, canonised by the founder who discarded it.
On 1 July 2026, Robinhood launched its own Ethereum Layer-2. Within hours, an anonymous developer dug up the trivia and minted $CASHCAT on it. The pitch wrote itself: the mascot came back to claim his ticker, on the chain named after the thing that replaced him. Traders called it fan fiction with a ticker. By that second week it was the chain's breakout memecoin, carrying a market cap around $150m.
The cat that wasn't good enough to be a brokerage now trades on one.

Phantom added Robinhood Chain support on 23 July 2026, so you can hold and trade CASHCAT from the same wallet you use for Solana — it's the same address, just a different network.
What's happening. Robinhood Chain uses ETH as its gas token, the same as Ethereum. Every transaction costs gas — including selling. If you spent all your ETH buying CASHCAT, there's nothing left to pay the fee with, so the sell can't be broadcast. Your tokens are safe and still yours. The wallet simply can't submit the transaction.
Why it catches so many people. Buying works because you had ETH — that's what you spent. Selling is a separate transaction that also needs gas, and a max-size buy leaves nothing behind to pay for it. Bridging tokens across without any ETH does the same thing.
The fix. Send a small amount of ETH to the same wallet, on Robinhood Chain. Once it arrives, the sell goes through normally. Nothing is lost in the meantime — it's a stuck transaction, not a stuck balance.
Next time. Leave a little ETH unspent after every buy or bridge. Fees on this chain have typically run well under a few cents, so a small buffer covers a lot of trades. Read your wallet's fee estimate before confirming rather than trusting any fixed figure — gas moves with network load and the price of ETH.
Wallet menus change, so check Phantom's own Robinhood Chain help page if a step doesn't match what you see. Nobody legitimate will ever ask for your seed phrase to unstick a transaction — anyone who does is stealing from you.

Buy the Robinhood Chain contract above. The original; the one the battlefield tracks. Several different tokens share the CASHCAT symbol on Solana, some with near-zero liquidity, and public trackers have reported conflicting prices for them. If you trade it anyway, verify the address character by character and check current liquidity yourself first.
Two separate projects use the "Cash Cat Strategy" name. Both are independent tokens built by other teams. Their names and X accounts are almost identical, so check which one you're looking at.

A dividend token planned for the cashcat.fun launchpad. The idea: its
trading fees buy CASHCAT on the market and pay it out to its holders,
and the launchpad's own cut buys and burns CASHCAT. If it launches and
trades, that would add buy pressure to CASHCAT. Its contracts are marked
"at launch", so none of this is verified yet.
